The MUNDOPUMALODGE is running by Jens Töniges since july 2007, living and working a long time in the Napo province which is part of the center Ecuadorian Amazon. 
 

The very beautiful jungle lodge is located in the heart of the rainforest reservation “Apayacu” very close to Misahualli, a small village 30 minutes away from the capital of the province Tena. 

Surrounded by nature in its purest and most primitive state, here you will experience that most desires of travelers’ rewards, an opportunity to savor the spirit of a place. The lodge and bungalows are completely surrounded by tropical rainforest. Hundreds of different species of tropical plants and rainforest inhabitants, like more than 130 species of birds and monkeys live in natural harmony alongside the lodge itself.
The wide view, a nearly 40-miles-view over the unendingly Amazon rainforest from an open-air lounge on a panorama terrace with sitting areas and hammocks is certainly the best place in the Amazon. Just for this experience it is worthwhile to visit MUNDOPUMA.

Arriving at the MUNDOPUMA lodge you don’t have to travel en strenuous long boat trips or torturing endless bus rides in searching of your tropical paradise The great advantages of this marvelous jungle lodge is that you can travel by yourself to this place simply and directly without over stops from the main tourist places.

Yet just four hours from Quito, Ecuador’s capital city, two and a half hours from Baños or 30 minutes from Tena, capital of the province Napo.

In spite of the tropical humid climate of this lowland forest there is no malaria-area and compared with other areas in the rainforest, especially locations closed to lagoons and rivers here in MUNDOPUMA almost no existing disturbing insects.
